And we were able to emulate the keypad and send commands to the panel. We were able to create all of the bindings for each zone and could see contacts opening and closing etc. But while the HC300 was connected everything else worked fine. The ADT tech installing the 4100SM called tech support and they had him check some things and they concluded that the 4100SM was bad so he is going to come back with a new one. I played around with this more and determined that if in addition to disconnecting the ground from the power cord, I also disconnect all video and audio connections that the ground fault goes away. By “floating” the ground of the HC300 we were hoping it would solve the issue. We attempted to isolate the HC300 by cutting the ground pin off of the AC power cord. As soon as we connect the HC300 to the serial port of the 4100SM the panel goes into fault with the message “Check 972 Earth Ground”.īoth the “Earth Ground” from the alarm panel and the HC300 are connected to the house electrical system ground. We are having an issue integrating an HC300 with a Vista 128 FBP using a 4100SM.
